Is the Quran a Good Book to Tell Us What is Right and Wrong
The Quran, which is the creed book of Muslims, has some correct teachings, like most other books do. Any book is likely to have at least some good, factual material, just like the Quran does. Roughly 1.3 billion Muslims in the world would automatically say that the Quran is from God. But-is the book of divine origin? The Quran allows violence, fighting, retaliation, and revenge toward others. The book permits the practice of polygamy (a man having more than one wife). Although the book says there was a man named Jesus, it denies that Jesus was God’s perfect Son. Also, the Quran has no plan of salvation based on Christ’s death. It is based on one saying: “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is his messenger.” This is not how God designed it!
The Quran goes against what the Bible teaches. The Bible is God’s Word (2 Timothy 3:16), and God’s light by which He shows us how to live (Ephesians 6:17). It is His food for man’s soul (1 Peter 2:2). And it is His sword to separate truth from error (Hebrews 4:12). The Bible is the ultimate tool, guide, and resource to tell us what is right and wrong.
