Why Apologetics Press Exists

God’s awesome glory, power, and majesty can be seen in the massive blue whale, the tiny hummingbird, the innumerable stars and galaxies, and the remarkable human body. And these barely scratch the surface. Sadly, many of us get so caught up in our daily lives that we fail to look beyond this physical world to see “the invisible attributes of God” that are clearly seen through the things He made (Romans 1:20). All our efforts at AP are designed to point people back to their Creator, so they can enjoy a saving relationship with Him that will last through eternity. We produce children’s books, such as the God Made series, so parents and teachers will have tools to direct young minds back to God. We create Bible cards so young people will see the reality of the events of the Bible and want to know more about the God who wrote it, and Who created them. We engage in public debates against unbelievers so that they will hear the truth, and so that those in the audience can know and understand the truth that can set them free (John 8:32). We write adult-level books, such as The Anvil Rings, so that our readers can know that God’s Word is the most perfect literature ever penned. We produce video series on Jesus to help viewers learn the saving Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (John 14:6). We distribute hundreds of thousands of Bibles, because God promises that His Word will not return to Him void, but will accomplish the mission He sends it to do (Isaiah 55:11). We write high-level, scholarly articles to reach those who are searching for God through academic avenues. We provide virtually all our material in digital format absolutely free of charge, because we want as many people as possible to use the information to walk closer to the Creator.

In museums, there are small signs beside the items on display. They explain the history and importance of the famous sculpture, ancient carving, or beautiful painting you are viewing. The information you read helps you understand what you are seeing and why it is important. Rarely, however, do you walk out of a museum and comment on how amazing the signs were, how well they were written, or the beautiful font on them. The information cards are there so you will understand and appreciate the item that is being exhibited. In a similar way, everything that we do at AP is designed to turn your attention to the Creator, the Glorious God, the Maker and Sustainer of Life, the Author and Finisher of our faith. We exist to point people to their Creator, and when they access our website, books, debates, videos, and cards, they leave thinking about what an awesome God we have and how they can connect with Him.
