Wow, what a great question! Let’s think about it. If God created Himself, then He would have to exist before “Himself” in order to create Himself. But if He already existed, then He could not have created Himself, because He was already alive. Whoa! That all gets pretty complicated and hard to think about. The fact is, logically speaking, nothing can create itself, because it would have to exist already to do anything. So, how did God get here? The answer is actually very simple. God has always existed. There has never been a time when God did not exist, and there will never be a time when God does not exist. In Psalm 90:2, the Bible says: “Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, You are God.” God did not create Himself, because He is not a created being. He is the only being Who has always existed. He is eternal and everlasting. He is self-existent.
