AP Staff Spotlight: Robert Youngblood, Assistant Director of Advancement
If you’ve ever visited an Apologetics Press booth at Polishing the Pulpit, Lads to Leaders, CYC, or another conference, you’ve likely seen Robert Youngblood in his element—friendly, enthusiastic, and always ready to talk Bibles, Bible materials, and Bible study. Since joining AP in September 2023, Robert has quickly become a go-to person for connecting with people, spreading the vision of AP, and advancing our mission to glorify God through sound biblical teaching.
Robert brings a wealth of experience to his role as Assistant Director of Advancement. Before AP, (among many other things) he served as a public school teacher in Walker County, Alabama, the Regional Development Director at Freed-Hardeman University in Henderson, Tennessee, and Vice President of Advancement at Heritage Christian University in Florence, Alabama, giving him many years of experience in nonprofit work, development, and fundraising.
What truly sets Robert apart is his heart. He loves the Lord’s Church and has a deep passion for lost souls. He’s constantly arranging and leading Bible studies and finding ways to encourage Christians in their personal walk with God.
For Robert, representing AP isn’t just a job—it’s a life; it’s ministry. Whether he’s introducing our study Bibles or website to someone for the first time or a potential donor to the nonprofit work of AP, he approaches every interaction with a combination of warmth, professionalism, and genuine care.
While Robert loves conferences and face-to-face interactions, working with congregations and individuals across the country, he equally thrives behind the scenes, helping AP strategize for future growth and opportunities to serve the Lord’s Church. He is exactly the kind of thoughtful, multi-talented, Kingdom-minded servant that makes AP’s work possible. Robert, Kirk Ottinger, and Chad Thompson are three of the finest Christians you will ever meet and make up the best advancement team a nonprofit organization could ask for.
