Why does Genesis say that when Cain went to Nod people were there? It says he had a wife but the only people where Cain lived were Adam, Eve, Abel, and Cain. So, he must have gotten a wife in Nod.
Cain, Abel, and Seth were not the only children of Adam and Eve. After Seth was born, Adam and Eve had other sons and daughters (Genesis 5:4). Cain’s wife must have been one of Adam and Eve’s daughters, or granddaughters.
